The Coaches

Our coaches come from a variety of sporting backgrounds, which allows us to provide different sporting activities. We believe that as role models it is important that all coaches maintain a level of professionalism and pride ourselves on being organised and passionate about our work. All our coaches create detailed session plans which focus on the development of every group they work with. As an academy we hold in house inset days, which allow us to share ideas, strategies and opinions to ensure we are all working on the same page. All coaches at Ace Development Academy are CRB checked, and have a minimum level 1 sports coaching badge. Coaches complete regular CPD training in safeguarding children and first aid. We also offer work experience and internships to young people who are interested in a coaching career.

Coach Ace

Allana started her coaching career as soon as she finished year 11 in 2007. Starting off as a volunteer she quickly knew she had found what she loved doing and progressed to continue coaching alongside her education. Whilst studying sports at University she landed the opportunity to coach abroad and spent the summer of 2013 in Boston, USA coaching at a variety of summer camps. It was during this time she became more inspired to create her own academy with a focus of making sports available for everyone. Since graduating from university she has coached in a number of schools, worked for the councils sports department and continued to coach abroad, this time in Canada. In 2014 she became a sports coach at a prep school in South London and has now worked her way up to becoming the senior sports coach. Outside of coaching Allana has a vast playing career. Playing for clubs such as QPR Ladies, Crystal Palace Ladies and AFC Wimbledon Ladies, she uses her footballing experiences to relate to all players she works with. Alongside her playing career she has also added to her football CV, completing FA coaching courses including FA levels 1, 2, first aid, coaching disabled footballers and FA psychology courses.

"Growing up sports was a massive part of my life. I played everything I could get involved in. I learnt valuable transferable skills that I could also use in the classroom, being Dyslexic this helped me tremendously. Sports should be available for all regardless of gender, ability or background. I wanted to create an academy that pioneered that idea"
